1. Introduction

Welcome to Zam-Zam Islamic College’s digital platforms, including our website, mobile applications (iOS and Android), and school management software (collectively referred to as “the Platforms”).
By accessing or using any of these Platforms, you agree to comply with and be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree, please discontinue use immediately.


2. Ownership and Purpose

All digital platforms are owned and operated by Zam-Zam Islamic College, an educational institution located in Kano State, Nigeria, offering Primary, Secondary, and Tahfiz (Qur’an Memorization) education.
The Platforms are designed to support communication, learning management, student information, and administrative processes within the school.


3. Eligibility

Access to certain areas of the Platforms (such as student portals, teacher dashboards, and parent accounts) is restricted to registered users of the College.
You must provide accurate and current information during registration and maintain the confidentiality of your login credentials.


4. User Responsibilities

Users (students, parents, staff, and administrators) agree to:

  • Use the Platforms only for lawful, educational, and Islamic purposes.

  • Refrain from uploading or sharing harmful, misleading, or inappropriate content.

  • Respect the privacy and dignity of others, both online and offline.

  • Uphold the College’s values of modesty, discipline, respect, and honesty.

  • Immediately report any unauthorized access or misuse of the Platforms.


5. Islamic Ethics and Conduct

As an Islamic institution, all users of Zam-Zam Islamic College’s Platforms must observe:

  • Modesty in communication, attire, and profile images.

  • Respectful language and avoidance of offensive or un-Islamic expressions.

  • Strict prohibition of bullying, harassment, or any disrespectful behavior.
    Failure to uphold these values may result in suspension or termination of account access.


6. Intellectual Property

  • All text, logos, designs, photos, videos, and other digital content are the intellectual property of Zam-Zam Islamic College.

  • You may not copy, reproduce, or distribute any content without prior written permission from the College.

  • Unauthorized use may result in legal or disciplinary action.


7. Privacy and Data Protection

  • The College collects and processes personal information (such as student names, academic records, and contact details) solely for educational and administrative purposes.

  • Data is securely stored and will not be shared with third parties without consent, except as required by Nigerian law.

  • Photos and videos taken during school events may be used for educational or promotional purposes unless a parent or guardian submits a written objection.

  • By using the Platforms, users consent to the processing of their data in accordance with these terms and applicable Nigerian data protection regulations.


8. Account Security

  • Each user is responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of their login credentials.

  • The College will not be held liable for unauthorized access resulting from user negligence.

  • Any suspicious activity should be reported immediately to the ICT Department.


9. Fees and Payments (if applicable)

  • Online payment features provided on the Platforms must be used responsibly.

  • All payment transactions are processed through secure, third-party channels.

  • The College does not store full card or payment details on its servers.


10. Third-Party Links and Services

  • The Platforms may contain links to third-party websites or apps for educational use.

  • Zam-Zam Islamic College is not responsible for the content, policies, or data practices of these external platforms.


11. System Availability and Maintenance

  • The College endeavors to ensure uninterrupted access to its digital Platforms.

  • Temporary service interruptions may occur for updates, security improvements, or maintenance.

  • The College will not be liable for data loss or unavailability caused by factors beyond its control.


12. Prohibited Actions

Users are strictly prohibited from:

  • Hacking, modifying, or attempting to gain unauthorized access to the Platforms.

  • Uploading malicious software, viruses, or disruptive code.

  • Accessing or altering another user’s data without permission.
    Any violation may result in suspension, termination, or legal action.


13. Disclaimer and Limitation of Liability

  • The Platforms are provided “as is.” While every effort is made to ensure accuracy and reliability, the College does not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation.

  • Zam-Zam Islamic College shall not be liable for losses resulting from misuse, unauthorized access, or technical failures beyond its control.

The College reserves the right to update or modify these Terms and Conditions at any time. Continued use of the Platforms after such updates constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.

These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, under the jurisdiction of Kano State, and guided by Islamic ethical and moral principles.
